Fees & Cost of Living
Every 3 years, fees will be reviewed in accordance with inflation/cost of living. You’ll notice this is the case for 2023.

Paying Online
When paying online we really appreciate the invoice number being quoted in the reference line. This helps my bookkeeper keep track of who has paid. Thanks for remembering to do this.

7% OFF TOTAL for 3 or more from the same family

Fee & Miscellaneous Days/Dates/Events

Twice annually students on Thursdays and Mondays will be affected by a teacher absence. You will have ample warning of this scheduling change.

Teacher Sick Day
Any lessons lost due to teacher unavailability will be deducted from the next terms lesson fee.

Public Holidays
Students whose lessons fall on a public holiday (eg. Melbourne Cup Day) can elect to take the holiday and will be credited . Please give ample warning for administration purposes.

Note: For ‘in person’ students, online lessons are always an alternative option to create flexibility in access. eg. in case of flooded roads! Let Unmani know beforehand.

Cancellations, Make-up Lessons and Refunds

Missed Lessons
Except for payment option 3 (explained below), if you can’t attend your lesson I am not obligated to offer a make-up lesson, as you have booked your specific time allotment. (Similar to a gym booking).

Some Options for Missed Lessons

  • In a group lesson situation, a catch-up session using the notes and information from another group member (buddy) works very well. Contact information is exchanged within the group for this reason.

  • In the case of private lessons, you may also wish to gift a missed lesson to a friend or family member in situations such as your own holiday. The student before or after your time means a double session which is appreciated. Students really enjoy this mutual gift giving over time. What goes around comes around!

  • Private lesson students may also like to gift a friend or family member with a fun introductory lesson to use up time slot.

Referrals

Word of Mouth Referrals
There is a big proportion of word-of-mouth referrals in this studio. Thank you for helping me save on advertising. I really would prefer to use my precious time teaching!! To say thank you for any referrals that result in a lesson commitment, I offer a 4 week fee reduction.

Fee Payment Options - School Families

PAYMENT OPTION 1 - (this is the Studio’s preferred option)

A monthly direct debit spread over 12-months at the current Private or Shared lesson fee rate:
Private Lesson $38 per lesson = $123.50 per month
Shared Lesson $32 per lesson = $104.00 per month

Overview
In 2023 students have a total of 39 lessons from the week starting Sunday January 29 to the week starting Sunday 3rd December 2023. Including Autumn, Winter and Spring school holidays. That’s 7-weeks of summer break and a total of 6-weeks over the year subtracted from the annual total of 52 weeks.

Benefits
Families will hopefully benefit from their financial commitment to lessons being spread over 12 months and I maintain a secure income throughout the 12 months of the year.

Payment
The direct debit can be arranged through GoCardless, an industry leading provider used by many of the top organisations in the world or you may just prefer to organise an automatic direct debit for the year through your online banking.

Missed Lessons
There is no option to make up missed lessons. Students wanting that option should choose payment Option 3 (see below). It is based on the premise that students are permanently reserving a time slot that is unavailable to anybody else.

Discontinue Lessons
Fifteen (15) days notice will be required if you choose to discontinue lessons, whether attended or not, and the direct debit will be cancelled at the end of that period.

PAYMENT OPTION 2

3 x Unmani Music Studio Terms dividing the year into terms of 13/15 weeks.
Music Term 1 – Mid January to late April
13 lessons – week starting Sunday January 15th to week starting April 23rd
Music Term 2 – Late April to Late August
14 lessons – week starting Sunday April 30 to week starting 13th August
Music Term 3 – Late August to 1st/2nd Week in December
14 lessons – week starting Sunday 20th August to week starting Sunday 3rd December.

Payment per Unmani Music Term at a fee rate of:
Private Lesson
13 lesson term @ $40 per lesson = $520
14 lesson term @ $40 per lesson = $560

Shared Lesson
13 lesson term @ $35 per lesson = $455
14 lesson term @ $35 per lesson = $490

Overview

  • This option is based on the premise that students are permanently reserving a time slot that is unavailable to anybody else.

  • Fees to be paid on the last lesson of the preceding Term.

  • There is no option to make up missed lessons. Students wanting that option should choose payment Option 3 (see below).

Extended Holidays
For EXTENDED HOLIDAYS OF 4 WEEKS OR MORE within the teaching term times, you can opt to not pay for those lessons. You need to understand that your agreed time slot is then open for another booking and you MAY need to renegotiate your lesson time on return.

Discontinuing Lessons
15 days notice will be required if you choose to discontinue lessons whether attended or not and the direct debit will be cancelled at the end of that period.

PAYMENT OPTION 3

Payment “at time of Lesson”, with flexibility in relation to weekly lesson scheduling and attendance at a fee rate of:
Private Lessons
$45 - 30 minute lesson
$70 - 45 minute lesson
$90 - 60 minute lesson

Overview
Places are dependent on the availability of lesson slots in the studio’s teaching schedule with current and incoming students who have opted for the Payment Option 1 or Option 2 having priority.

Payment Method
Lesson will be invoiced and payment to be made via OSKO or Direct Deposit prior to the start of the lesson.
