About online learning
Learning to play an instrument online? That sounds a bit impossible!
As a geographically remote Australian, Unmani has needed to think flexibly to conquer the ‘tyranny of distance’. To continue lifting her own skills as a musician and teacher, she has and continues to have, dozens of lessons herself by phone (yes phone!) and skype/zoom from master teachers in England, USA and Australia on piano and violin.
She understands remoteness inside out. Some current examples… she taught an outback Australian family in two instruments in 2019, teaches groups online such as a family from Tasmania and friends learning together from 3 hours distance away, teaches a busy local grandmother by phone who is very uncomfortable with technology but powering through a big repertoire and learning to read.
At least three quarters of her students are online students.
Unsure about internet learning? Unmani was extremely unsure about this area a few years ago (just ask her family!) but would love to guide you through in an online session backed by phone prior to starting.
