About the space

Step inside a truly unique and magical super adobe space – Meera. Built of natural materials from our property, using a revolutionary building system that integrates traditional earth architecture with contemporary global safety requirements. The building is round and inside its soft, curved shape and timber parquetry floor and perfect acoustics, make it suited to many uses. The exterior is finished in render that gently sits and blends naturally with its surroundings. Once you step inside you’ll immediately notice the shift in energy and sound. You have a touch of modern amenities with an elegant curved, raised bed area with views across the paddock and dam. There is a kitchenette, water, small fridge, energy efficient stove for heating, power to charge your devices. Experience life slowing down as you disconnect from our crazy modern world.

Inside the space

A truly unique experience in the heart of the Grampians! Stay inside a traditional super adobe building with modern amenities and rustic charm. This is a 20ft diameter space with side walls that are 3ft thick making it feel like you’ve stepped inside a sacred space. The timber front door with its sun ray design, faces east for the morning sun. The materials used in Meera’s construction allow the space to stay cool in summer and warm in winter – making it very efficient and a constant 23oC. The hole at the top of the building - the occulus - connects you to father sky and allows the flow of air through the building. Look for the serpent in the rich mosaic that sits below and frames the occulus–it tells it’s own story of the rainbow serpent linking the land and the water that surrounds Meera on two sides, and stars in the night sky. This feature was designed and handcrafted by talented artisan, Misty.

At Meera, we offer an eco-experience and a chance to slow down and relax. Enjoy local produce - available on request, and discover the raw nature and tranquility of the area.
We are close to The Grampians, the popular Silo Trail, The Stick Shed and less than 20 minutes from Stawell, where there is fuel, a grocery store and shops in the area. Horsham is approx. 45 minutes drive, west.

Guest access

Enter through the farm gate and follow the road around past the shed, past the 2nd farm house and you will see the dam and Meera up on the rise.
Drive up and park your car.
The parking is right outside the door to Meera.
There is a separate modern, composting toilet with landscape mural and small sink and your own private shower.
